TEMPLE, TX — The Temple Police Department now has nine new probationary officers.

On Saturday, the cadets graduated from the Central Texas College Police Academy and were then sworn in at the police department.

Officers who joined the department included Jeremy Blattel, Jeremy Brannon, David Czinder, Damion Dixon, James Griffith, Derek Mungia, Meghan Newman, Jacob Perkins and Amanda Stiles.

"I'm excited to get started. We started with nine of us, and I'm excited that we were all able to push through together, and we're ready to get out there and get our jobs going," said Newman.
