KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Animal Shelter will reopen to the public after closing in March due to the spread of COVID-19.
The shelter will open for normal business hours on Friday, May 1. Adoption hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The shelter has dogs and cats of different ages, breeds, sizes and temperaments in need of forever homes. The public is encouraged to view them online.
The shelter is located at 3118 Commerce Drive. Visitors will be asked to wear masks and obey social distancing measures.
