KILLEEN, TX — Nothing says Texas like farm animals and smiling kids.
The 65th annual Killeen Junior Livestock Show is in full swing and kids in the Killeen FFA and 4-H couldn’t be more excited.
On Wednesday, the kids made sure to get all their animals cleaned, prepped, weighed and ready for competition.
They began showing their animals Thursday and Friday and will bring it all together with an auction, barbecue and award ceremony on Saturday.
Over 240 kids participated this year and many of them will be putting their winning animals up for auction. All proceeds from the auction will go back to the kids and many of them say they plan to use the money for either college or another animal project.
The show is taking place at the Killeen Rodeo Grounds and is free to the public.
