Victor Venegas is the Executive Reporter for 25 News KXXV and 15 ABC KRHD.
Victor has been with 25 News KXXV since April 2023, serving first as a 10 p.m. producer before taking on the role of Executive Reporter in November 2023. In this position, Victor helps lead the daily news gathering for the largest team of journalists in Central Texas.
He brings more than 30 years of experience to Central Texas, serving in several roles in newsrooms across the country. He is also a proud father of three and grandfather of two. He's served as a reporter and producer, as well as several stints in news management, including two stints as News Director for KTSM-TV (NBC) in El Paso.
Victor has also been honored by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, several state and local organizations, and was part of the team that won a National Edward R. Murrow award in the "Excellence in Innovation" category for helping conceptualize, develop, and manage a daily website dedicated to telling the untold stories of people living along the U.S./Mexico border.
