GRIMES COUNTY, TX — An 18-wheeler carrying 37,000 pounds of recycled paper rolled over in Grimes County, shutting down Highway 6.
Officials said the vehicle drove into the median of Highway 6 south of Navasota. The ground was so wet from recent rain, the wheels sank and got stuck in the mud, causing it to roll over.
The accident caused the top of the truck to open.
The southbound lanes are completely shut down Thursday afternoon.
