TEMPLE, TX — Temple firefighters responded to a storage building on fire at 1102 S. Main Street at 6:04 p.m. Sunday.
Officials say they arrived to moderate smoke from the single-story commercial building, which was previously a church and is now a storage facility.
Two pieces of construction equipment were found to be on fire. The equipment was located in a central room of the building.
Fire damage was only to the burning equipment with some smoke damage throughout the rest of the building, say officials.
Temple Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
Temple police, Onocor Electric, and Temple EMS also responded to the scene.
Temple Fire and Rescue responded with 8 units and 21 personnel, to include investigators.
The fire was under control by approximately 6:32 p.m., and units left the scene by 7:41 p.m.
