Temple community comes together for conversation on racial tensions

TEMPLE, TX — The Temple community is coming together for a conversation on racial disparities.

"Where Do We Go From Here" will feature panelists discussing education, economics and policing as a "heartfelt response" to racial tension in Temple.

The event will take place on Jan. 18 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at St. James United Methodist Church located at 707 South Third Street.

Community panelists include:

  • Tim Davis, Mayor of Temple
  • Benny Wash, Temple NAACP President
  • Lisa Adams, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum of TISD
  • Doree Collins, Founder of UNincluded Club Temple

Pastor Charles Robinson will moderate.
