A Troy PD presence is expected to be on a high school campus after a student used "threatening language," according to Troy ISD.
In a letter to parents, Troy ISD said that a Troy High School student had used threatening language on Feb. 15. Officials did not consider it a valid or "imminent threat to school safety."
The district said that appropriate action would be taken, including against those who have "shown to have engaged in cyberbullying."
The reaction to the threat by school leadership does not seem to sit well with parents, as many have taken to social media to voice their personal opinion.
The school will have heightened security during the upcoming week.
