Police in Italy, Texas said they are searching for a suspect who fled after a traffic stop on Tuesday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., an officer attempted to stop a Chevrolet Malibu that was going 112 mph on northbound Interstate 35. When the officer turned on her overhead lights, the driver sped up to 122 mph.
The suspect exited the interstate, drove northwest on Farm-to-Market Road 329 and stopped off Edmondson Road before taking off on foot.
Officials from the Ellis County Sheriff's Office, Texas Highway Patrol, Milford Police Department and Waxahachie Police Department were all called to assist in searching for the suspect, who is still at large.
