McLennan Softball’s Emily Klanika has been named the first the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the 2019 season.
Klanika, a sophomore right hander from Pflugerville, made three starts in the circle during McLennan’s season-opening week. In the four-day span, she pitched 17 shutout innings allowing just 12 hits with 24 strikeouts and only seven walks as she picked up three wins.
McLennan will host Kilgore for a 1 p.m. doubleheader tomorrow at Bosque River Ballpark and will compete in the San Jacinto Round Robin Tournament Friday and Saturday at the Scrap Yard in Conroe.
