Woman killed in fiery I-35 crash identified

The woman killed in a fiery crash on I-35 has been identified. 

Lorena police said northbound Interstate 35 was shut down due to a fiery crash Wednesday morning.

The crash happened Wednesday morning around 6 a.m. near mile marker 317 in Bruceville-Eddy.

Bruceville-Eddy police said that the woman killed in the crash was identified as Michelle Whitehead. Her body was found after Wards Towing towed away the 18-wheeler. 

The driver of the 18-wheeler, her husband Sidney Whitehead, was taken to the Parkland Burn Center in Dallas with severe burns. 

According to police, Whitehead was pulled out by a bystander after the truck became fully engulfed.
