OKLAHOMA CITY - Baylor softball infielder Kassidy Krupit was one of 20 chosen to represent the United States as a member of the 2019 USA Softball Junior Women’s National Training Team, announced Wednesday by the organization.
The Suwanee, Ga., native participated in a three-day selection camp to make the team and will compete in select tournaments before the final 17-member roster for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup is finalized.
She is the lone representative from the Big 12 and is among 10 collegiate student-athletes from Alabama, UCLA, Florida State, Michigan State, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington, as well as 10 high school selections.
Krupit and the Lady Bears kick off the 2019 regular season on Feb. 7 in Mexico, facing South Carolina to in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge to open head coach Glenn Moore’s 19th season with the program.
