Jan. 1 not only marks a new year, but for McLennan county, it also marks a new district attorney.
Barry Johnson will start his four-year term on Monday. Johnson is taking Abel Reyna's spot who served as the DA since 2011.
Reyna oversaw the hundreds of charges that were issued during the Twin Peak's biker case. Johnson and Reyna went head to head during the primaries in March of 2018.
That's when Johnson won the vote taking more than 58 percent of the votes.
