Waco police have identified the man who was killed in an early New Year's morning shooting.
According to police, 39-year-old Marcus Carprew was killed.
Officers were called to the House of Blues club in Waco just after 2 a.m. Tuesday to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police believe the victim and the suspect got into an argument in the club. The fight then moved to the parking lot where the shooting took place.
They said a person of interest in the shooting was identified and detained. Witnesses were present at the scene and are asking others to come forward.
This is an ongoing investigation.
