The 4-year-old recovering after a tragic shooting has been transferred to a Dallas facility for rehabilitation.
The family of 4-year-old Corden Fidler said he was experiencing "good signs" of recovery, several months after being shot by his stepfather.
Family members are living by the motto "slow and steady wins the race" with Corden's recovery.
Corden was responding to commands by wiggling his toes and when the neurosurgeon asked him to say hi and wave... he waved, according to the family.
He is now able to shake his head "yes" or "no" when responding to commands.
Police said that on Dec. 20, Corden was shot by his stepfather Matthew Splittgerber. Splittgerber shot and killed Corden's mother Shelly and his grandmother Sherry Gray, before killing himself.
Shelly had filed a protective order a day before the shooting.
The family has set up a GoFundMefor anyone who wants to donate. They are also selling #TeamCorden t-shirts available for people to purchase to help with the medical bills. Visit the Facebook page for more information.
