Mexia's own Kelvin Beachum is treating his hometown to a Christmas Eve lunch this year.
Although he cannot be there in person, Beachum wishes his "favorite city in Texas" a Merry Christmas.
From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Mexia residents can enjoy a chicken tender special with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans from Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken on Beachum. There is a limit of one plate per person.
Beachum, a proud Blackcat, is now a offensive tackle for the New York Jets.
