Forever Families: Meet Jasmine

Posted
and last updated

16-year-old Jasmine is an incredibly talented artist who has big dreams and Partnership for Children hopes to send her to Disney World.

She got to spend the morning at Posh Spa & Lounge in Waco for some pampering to talk about her future and her hopes for a forever family.

Jasmine shared just a few sketches with us and what she hopes to accomplish. Some of her sketches included Donald and Daisy under the mistletoe and Mickey and his misadventures.

"My biggest dream is I want to go to Disney World to become an animator," said Jasmine.

Pampered like a Disney princess at Posh Spa & Lounge, Jasmine wants to make her dream a reality.

"She is very talented. That developed a lot just in the past few years. She's a self-taught artist," said local permanency specialist Morgan Gebser.

Gebser has known Jasmine for several years and says she is thriving in her current placement but wants to be adopted as much as she wants to be an artist.

"She has told me I want to be adopted and really put her whole heart into it. She's ready," said Gebser.

Gebser says a family of faith and maybe younger kids would make a good fit.

"I think she'd be a really fantastic big sister so if there's a family out there with younger kids, that would be great," said Gebser.

Jasmine tells us she wants a family that is active and wants to get to know her as much as she wants to get to know them.

"I have a lot of hope for this. I hope I meet my forever family," Jasmine said.

Jasmine is featured in The Heart Gallery of Central Texas, a program of Partnerships for Children. You can read her bio to learn more about adopting her.

Central Texas News Now "Forever Families" airs every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and features local children waiting to be adopted.
