The Christmas spirit found its way to the Mclane Children's Medical Center in Temple on Thursday.
Families and friends gathered at the Medical Center for the seventh annual tree lighting ceremony.
Following cookies, hot cocoa and a performance by the kids from the Central Texas Christian Academy choir, folks stepped outside to welcome Santa and light the tree.
The hospital says it’s all worth it when you see the joy on the children's faces.
“It’s just meaningful to us, here at the hospital, to be able to provide the spirit of Christmas to not only the patients within our hospital but the community that we serve,” said Lisa Gingerich, Manager of Volunteer Services.
This is the seventh year in a row the Mclane Children's Medical Center has held the tree lighting ceremony.
The tree will stay lit throughout the holidays.
