The UMHB women received votes worth 221 points to jump to 15th in the nation this week. Bowdoin College is ranked #1 with 17 first-place votes and 609 total points. East Texas Baptist dropped five spots to #14 in the country after UMHB beat the Tigers last Thursday. U.T.-Dallas moved up one spot to #21 in the country and Hardin-Simmons is receiving votes worth nine points to give the American Southwest Conference four teams earning mention in this week’s poll. Thomas More is ranked fourth in the country and Austin College and Oglethorpe are both receiving votes. UMHB will host Thomas More and Austin College later this season and the Cru has already beaten Oglethorpe.

The Cru women are 7-0 overall and have a 2-0 mark in ASC play on the season. UMHB returns to action with a 1 pm tip-off against 21st-ranked U.T.-Dallas this Saturday in Richardson.
