To honor the memory of former President George H.W. Bush, Texas A&M’s varsity athletic teams will wear helmet decals or uniform patches in tribute to the 41st president.
The patch, as approved by the Bush family, will incorporate Texas A&M University’s official colors of maroon and white to celebrate the life and service the former President expressed to the school, as well as 12th Man’s love for him.
The helmet decal will be on full display when the football team plays North Carolina State in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl on Dec. 31.
Eventually, all Texas A&M athletic squads will wear a tribute uniform patch for the remainder of the 2018-19 school year.
