UMHB seeks first-ever win over Wisconsin-Whitewater to play in Stagg Bowl

Posted

UMHB will face Wisconsin-Whitewater, a team the Cru have never beaten, this Saturday in the Division III semifinals.

Wisconsin-Whitewater has a wall of huge offensive linemen that could give the Cru some trouble.

But Head Coach Pete Fredenburg says the Warhawks will have to deal with the immense amount of skill on his roster in order to even get close to stealing a win away from them.

The Cru realize their run game might not work all day, so they'll look to deploy wideouts down the field.

And despite an 0-5 record against the Warhawks, Coach Fredenburg said those past losses have no reflection on his team now. In fact, he hasn't even mentioned it.

"I have not talked about the history between Whitewater and us. I think the guys all understand that, and I think that this is a different team, and so is Whitewater... different coaches and the whole nine yards, so. I just think that we're just different... and we are, this group is plotting out their own course," UMHB Head Coach Pete Fredenburg said.

Kick off for the Cru's semifinal match up is set for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
