Head coach Matt Rhule's Baylor Bears are going to Houston to play in the Texas Bowl Dec 27. Kick off is set for 8 p.m.
The Bears will be facing Vanderbilt.
This will be the Bears eighth bowl game in the last nine years. Baylor last went to a bowl in 2016 when they defeated Boise State 31-12 in the Cactus Bowl under interim head coach Jim Grobe.
Coach Rhule's team is going bowling in just his second year at the helm. This season Baylor completed one of the best turnarounds in FBS football finishing 6-6 after going just 1-11 in his first season.
The last time Baylor played in the Texas Bowl was in 2010 under Art Briles. The Bears lost that game to Illinois 38-14.
