One man is dead after a one-vehicle accident on Thursday.
According to the Department of Public Safety, at approximately 12:05 a.m. a one-vehicle crash occurred on SH 53 at SH 320 in Bell County.
A 2007 Acura passenger car was traveling westbound approaching a curve. The Acura was traveling at an unsafe speed and lost control.
The Acura skidded off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver, 27-year-old Adam Rangel, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
DPS would like to remind motorists to always drive at a safe speed for the conditions and always buckle up.
