Starting Friday, both northbound and southbound I-35 lanes are set to close in Temple.
According to TxDOT, starting at 11:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. the southbound lanes will close beginning at Central Ave./ Adams Ave. Traffic will detour off I-35 at exit #301. Drivers will be directed through the Central Ave./ Adams Ave. intersections by police officers and re-enter I-35 before S. Loop 363.
Northbound traffic will detour off I-35 at exit #300 and re-enter I-35 at 57th Street.
The contractor will be constructing the 57th Street Bridge deck. There will be police officers and flaggers to direct travelers through the area.
Travelers are encouraged to seek alternate routes during this time. Drivers should obey all warning and detour signs in the work zone, according to TxDOT.
The work will be performed weather permitting.
