Fort Hood celebrates the season with tree lighting

Fort Hood kicked off the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting on Friday.

Sing along to carols provided by the Meadows Elementary School, Oveta Culp Hobby Elementary School, Ellison Chamber Singers and the 1st Calvary Division Band.

Food and refreshments were donated by local businesses and were served in the west atrium.

Lt. Gen. Paul Funk II, III Corps and Fort Hood commanding general will oversee the ceremony.

The tree lighting began at 5:15 p.m. The tree will be on display until Jan. 6.
