BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s soccer players Chelsea Graham, Madison Link and Sydney Rangel were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region teams, released Monday. Graham was named Second Team All-West Region while Link and Rangel were Third Team selections.
Graham, a junior forward from Pasadena, Texas (Deer Park H.S.), led the ASC with 35 points this season. She also ranked second in goals (12), assists (11) and shots (77). Graham had game-winning goals against East Texas Baptist, Belhaven and Sul Ross State. She added three multi-goal contests and recorded both a goal and an assist in five games.
Link, a senior midfielder from Tomball, Texas (Tomball H.S.), and Rangel, a senior defender from Midlothian, Texas (Midlothian H.S.) were both named Third Team All-West Region. Link led the Cru with four game-winning goals, totaling seven goals and five assists on the year. She also contributed to a defense that recorded seven shutouts. Rangel led the Cru with 1,584 minutes as a center defensive back. She anchored a Crusader defense that allowed just 13 goals with only 59 shots on frame.
Graham, Link and Rangel were all named First Team All-American Southwest Conference. This is the second all-region award for Link and first for Graham and Rangel.
