Marlin police finds drugs, cash during traffic stop

The Marlin Police Department said that they found drugs and cash in a vehicle during a traffic stop. 

Officers said they stopped a vehicle for speeding and smelled a strong odor of marijuana from the vehicle.

Officers found more than 1 pound of marijuana, Xanax, and hydrocodone.  Officers also located a loaded handgun, ammunition,  four cell phones and more than $2,300 dollars in cash.

Police arrested the unidentified driver. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The driver remains in the Falls County Jail.
