Baylor football only has four guaranteed days left to be a football team and that fact isn't lost on them.
"Just be elite today. Win today. Win tomorrow. Win Friday and then we're going to go do it again," said sophomore defensive back Harrison Hand about the team's mentality.
That workman's attitude is exactly what Baylor will need to take down a wounded Texas Tech team.
The Bears have had chances for wins, but they refuse to dwell on what could have, or should have, been. Instead, the players say their main motivation are the men who were honored against TCU, but didn't get the feeling to go with it.
"It means a lot to me for these seniors because what they dedicated to us this season," said sophomore running back Trestan Ebner of a possible bowl berth, "Time, energy, effort, you know, they're out there going harder than anybody taking all the reps during practice. So, to get a bowl win for them would be a big deal for them would be a big deal for me. It would help us jump start our season for next year and keep it rolling to turn the program back around."
Baylor will get their final shot at bowl eligibility Saturday at 11 a.m. in AT&T Stadium.
