No. 20 Texas A&M faces Little Rock in a women’s basketball game 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jack Stephens Center, in a matchup of coaches who have won over 750 career games each.
The game is only streamed on Little Rock’s website, for a subscription fee, but fans can listen to the game for free locally on the radio on The Zone 1150 AM / 102.7 FM, with Tom Turbiville and Steve Miller on the call. The radio call is available free of charge on the internet at 12thMan.com.
Ranking seventh and eighth among active coaches in career wins, Little Rock’s Joe Foley and Texas A&M’s Gary Blair are meeting for the 10th time. Blair has won eight of the nine previous matchups, however Foley’s win came in the 2015 NCAA First Round. Foley enters the game with 770 career wins, Blair trails by just three at 767.
The Aggies (2-1) lost their previous matchup, falling 75-65 to No. 18 Syracuse on November 14. Texas A&M was down 18 early in the fourth quarter, but rallied to within six points with just under 90 seconds to play. Chennedy Carter leads the Aggies, and ranks second in the SEC, with 20.7 points per game. Aaliyah Wilson averages 14.7 and Kayla Wells, who leads the SEC with a 5.00 assist-to-turnover ratio, scores 12.7 per game.
The Trojans (2-1) also suffered their first loss of the season in their most recent game, falling 79-65 to Rice on November 17. Kyra Collier leads Little Rock with 15.3 points per game, with Ronjanae DeGray (13.0) and Teal Battle (11.3) also averaging double-figure points.
After this game, the Aggies return home on November 23 to host Arkansas State at 4 p.m., with coverage on SEC Network +.
