A Central Texas assistant principal resigned shortly after an investigation was launched into illicit photos that were sent to a staff member in November. However, the resignation will not go into effect until Jan. 8, so he will receive pay until then.
The Connally ISD Police Department said Connally Junior High Assistant Principal John Simpson allegedly sent illicit photos to a staff member.
The incident is being investigated by Connally ISD police.
Simpson was placed on paid leave and will remain on leave until the investigation concludes.
The investigation will remain active despite his resignation. His job has been posted.
