The Cru have clinched a bid to postseason play. But with one conference game left, they're looking to claim the ASC Championship outright and earn a number one seed come playoffs.
But, with all of that postseason talk, Head Coach Pete Fredenburg says his team is focused on this week and this week only.
East Texas Baptist tends to be a test for the Cru.
Last year, UMHB held on to win 31-21... which leads Coach Fredenburg to describe this week's match-up as a pre-playoff game, saying the Tigers will be the best team they've faced in a while.
"I think they'll give us a great game. They always have. The quarterback is really good, in my opinion. He scrambled around and caused us some problems last year. And, you know, he throws the ball well, and they've got good receivers. They've got skill guys, so I just think that'll be a good ball game, and it'll be a great test for us as we move along and move into the playoffs," Head Coach Pete Fredenburg said.
Kick off is set for 2 this Saturday in Marshall, Texas..
