One more win and the Baylor Bears will be bowl eligible, but that doesn't mean they want to think that way.
The Bears are coming off a closing-seconds victory against Oklahoma State, but this week they go on the road for a ranked showdown with Iowa State.
The Cyclones are sitting at third in the conference, but their defense is one of the best in nearly every statistical category.
So as much as Baylor fans want to start booking bowl trips, Head Coach Matt Rhule is telling everyone to slow down.
"Life is always about what's next. What's the next thing in front of us? Even as I meet with players today, one guy at a time, to get them to understand life is about learning from what happened: good, bad or indifferent. We're the same team that lost to West Virginia, the same exact football team. And, so, you know we played a better game, but we're the same team. The mistakes are still all over the film. If we start thinking about December or January man we're going to get punched in the face on Saturday," Head Coach Matt Rhule said.
Well, how do you avoid a punch to the face? You continue to preach process,
The game is set for 2:30 Saturday in Ames, Iowa.
