Baylor’s offense was nonexistent as the Bears suffered the worst loss of the Matt Rhule era to West Virginia in Morgantown.
West Virginia started off red hot with quarterback Will Grier scoring the game's opening touchdown early.
After that, the Baylor offense sputtered with Charlie Brewer throwing two interceptions in the first quarter before the Baylor defense held the Mountaineers to just one field goal.
Then, the floodgates opened with West Virginia scoring at will. Brewer left the game before half and the Bears continued to struggle going into the break down 41-0.
The Bears came out in the second half with more of the same, fumbling the opening kickoff which resulted in another Mountaineers score.
Freshman Josh Fleeks and quarterback Jalan McClendon would are be rushing touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to stem the tide.
Baylor will return to Waco for Oklahoma State next week.
