Bears eye Morgantown upset Thursday night

Well, the Bears' bye week has come and gone, and now they're looking to their Thursday night prime time showdown.

West Virginia will bring a dynamic offense and a unique 3-3 stack defense to the table.

And while Head Coach Matt Rhule said it would be in their best interest to slow the game down and keep the Mountaineers' offense off the field, he recognizes that's not his team's strength.

So, they'll stick to their game plan, their tempo.

After suffering a heartbreaking loss to Texas, Rhule said his guys believe they can play with anyone and possibly win out.

But in order to do that, the Bears can't afford penalties and mistakes.

"You can't win big time football games against big time teams on the road when you make a ton of mistakes. I think that lesson that everything counts is one that I heard them saying, like you know we can't win if we do this... and so I think they're starting to realize like if you want to be great, you have to learn how to be great everyday, be the same guy everyday," Head Coach Matt Rhule said.  "And so they were certainly disappointed after that game, but I think it's the lessons that they learned that are important... and we're facing a team, if you saw Coach Holgorsen's press conference after their loss to Iowa State, there's no doubt that they're gonna be ready. And there's no doubt that Coach Holgorsen's gonna be ready. And there's no doubt that Coach Gibson and his defense is gonna be ready. So, we know we're walking in to face a highly, highly motivated team."

The Bears said they're looking forward to and ready to play in the hostile environment that is Morgantown.
