Texas Parks and Wildlife spot camouflaged snake on forest floor

Posted

Can you spot the copperhead?

The Texas Parks and Wildlife – DFW Urban Wildlife team spotted a brown and reddish pattering on the copperhead making it camouflaged on the forest floor.

They want to remind everyone that during the transition to winter, snakes are still out and about during the day when the weather is nice.

If you find a snake, the best thing to do is leave it alone. They said bites frequently occur when a person attempts to kill or move a venomous snake.

Snakes play an important role in our ecosystem, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife page.
