University of Mary Hardin-Baylor golfer Olivia Robinson has been named American Southwest Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week ending October 17th.
Robinson, a junior from Deer Park High School, fired a 72-79-77=228 to finish in sixth place individually at the prestigious Golfweek DIII Invitational. Robinson’s opening round, even-par 72 was the lowest round of the day and she finished the tournament just five strokes off the pace set by individual medalist Tabitha Diehl of Rhodes College. The tournament was played on a par-72, 5,804-yard layout at Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin, Florida and featured many of the top Division III women’s golf programs in the country.
The UMHB women finished in 15th place as a team in the tournament. The event also closed out the fall schedule for the Cru women.
