A tattoo shop in Killeen saw plenty of walk-in customers on Sunday, all coming in to support a good cause.
Familia Ink Tattoo Company hosted a fundraiser for the Bell County Crime Victim Coalition.
This organization supported one of the owners when his son, Robert Antonio Allman, was killed in a senseless act of violence in 2015.
"This is in Little Robert's memory. He was well loved by everyone," said Aulani Morales, co-owner Familia Ink. "He has a great family, everyone misses him dearly and this is a way to kind of help the healing process for the family as well as the community, so it's a win-win."
The shop offered $25 ribbon, memorial and pre-designed tattoos from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Within the first hour of the event, more than 60 people signed up to be tattooed.
"When their son was killed, the coalition helped them and they've never forgotten that," said Jill McAfee, founder of Bell County Crime Victim Coalition. "So they just wanted to do this and donate the money and I say thank you, we are pleased and excited."
McAfee said the Bell County Crime Victim Coalition does not receive government funding and that they rely completely on donations to cover everything from a victim's funeral expenses to shelter costs for families in domestic violence situations.
Meagan McNeely and her wife, Lindsey, both stopped by to get tattoed for a good cause.
"It's just a community coming together for something good," Lindsey said.
"It's overwhelming. It's amazing," Meagan said. "There are so many things going on in the world that are bad, so it's great to see everybody come together to support one good thing."
Overall, the shop raised around $2,500.
