After an investigation into a threat written on the bathroom wall at Connally Junior High School, a student was identified and arrested.
According to Connally ISD, they are continuing the investigation on the threat at Connally High School.
"Even though one arrest has taken place, our plans for additional presence of law enforcement officers have not changed. We will have additional law enforcement officers on campuses and throughout the district tomorrow," Larry Cumby, Connally ISD Human Resources said.
On Oct. 11, the district told parents that a threat was found on a junior high school bathroom stall, threatening a shooting on Oct. 31.
The email said that the district would be investigating the threat and that neighboring law enforcement agencies were also notified.
"Safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we will always take appropriate actions and precautions to protect our students and staff," said the email.
