Superintendent clarifies lunch debacle after confusion on social media

Posted

After complaints from parents on social media, the Rosebud-Lott ISD Superintendent Dr. Steve Brownlee clarified that the high school did not run out of food at lunch on Monday.

Dr. Brownlee said that the kitchen temporarily ran out of popcorn chicken smackers. Students were told they could either wait for more chicken to cook or get the second lunch option.

Students said they did not wait for the chicken tenders because they were afraid of getting a tardy.

However, the superintendent said that in this case, they would not have been marked as tardy.
