In the years past, the week UMHB plays Hardin-Simmons is also the week the American Southwest Conference title has been decided.

"You don't have to say much this week. It's just a fun week. This is why you do what you do to get in environments like this," UMHB Head Coach Pete Fredenburg said.

The Cru and the Cowboys are the only two remaining undefeated teams in the conference.

The two teams have won at least a share of the title every year since 1998, and they've combined to win or share 20 of the 21 conference titles in the league's history.

Coach Fredenburg said Hardin-Simmons sports talented blockers, something his defense will have to overcome. And as far as his team's offensive preparation, he's looking to insure they're well-rounded.

"I think it's imperative that we really establish the run. I think we can throw the ball against anybody, but you know Hardin-Simmons does a nice job of ... they've got a three man front and drop eight and all of those things. I just don't want to get us in that situation where we're, that they're not concerned about our run," Coach Fredenburg added.

Kick off is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday.
