Drew Galitz, Baylor's senior punter, was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.
In Saturday's win over Kansas, Galitz had five punts for 228 yards, averaging 45.6 yards per punt. For the first time in his career, all five of his punts were downed with in the 20.
In terms of kickoffs, he had six for 338 yards. Three of those were touchbacks.
In addition to being ranked 12th nationally, Galitz holds the best punting average in the Big 12 at 45.2 yards per punt.
