University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football player Markeith Miller has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the second consecutive week. He was honored for his performance in the Cru’s 68-7 victory over Sul Ross State.
Miller, a senior running back from Garland High School, rolled up 213 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns on just 19 carries against the Lobos. All of that production came in the first half with Miller sitting out the final two quarters with the game already decided. He also earned his second straight American Southwest Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week honor this week.
The Cru is 2-0 overall and 1-0 in ASC play following Saturday’s victory. UMHB returns to action with its third straight road game at Texas Lutheran this Saturday. The Cru and Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0 ASC) will kick off at 6 pm in Seguin.
