A man was killed after he was struck by a truck crossing State Highway 6 on Friday.
According to Department of Public Safety Sergeant Ryan Howard, at approximately 8:55 p.m. troopers responded to State Highway 6 northbound near State Loop 340, east of Waco.
An investigation determined that 36-year-old Christopher Oakley was crossing the highway when he was struck by a Ford passenger car.
Oakley was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was not injured, according to DPS.
No charges have been filed as a result of this investigation.
