A man was hit and killed by a car while crossing the street in Belton has been identified.
Police said 75-year-old Kenneth Ferrell was killed when he was hit around 7 a.m. in the area of 13th Street and N. Beal Street.
Ferrell was crossing 13th Street when a driver on the eastbound side did not see him and hit him. He was transported to Baylor Scott & White where he was pronounced dead.
Belton police are still investigating the collision.
Central Texas News Now was originally told the man was 60 years old, but police later said the did not know his exact age at the time.
