UMHB women's soccer falls to Puget Sound

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s soccer team fell 4-1 to Puget Sound University Saturday night in Tacoma. The win improved the Loggers to 1-3 on the season while the Cru fell to 1-2-1.

The game went scoreless until the second half when Kylee Roath put the Loggers on the board, scoring off an assist from Tayla MacPherson in the 51st minute. Puget Sound added one more goal in the 55th minute before Chelsea Graham scored the Cru’s lone goal at the 69:18 mark. Puget Sound added two more goals in the 74th and 90th minute, securing the 4-1 win.

Graham led the Cru with four shots while Zoe Elledge, Madison Link and Taylor Marques each added two. UMHB outshot the Loggers 12-11 in the match, putting six shots on goal. Emmy McMaude took the loss for the Cru, allowing four goals and making three saves. Jamie Lang was the winner for the Loggers, making five saves with one goal allowed.

The Cru returns to action on Thursday, September 13th in a 5:00 p.m. match against East Texas Baptist at the UMHB Soccer Fields in Belton.
