Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crashing into fence

A motorcyclist was airlifted to a Temple hospital after an accident Thursday afternoon. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the accident happened just after 6 p.m. on FM 439 near FM 93. 

Officials say that a motorcycle was traveling eastbound when it lost control and ran off the road, hitting a fence. The driver, Jonathan Evans, 50, was airlifted to Scott & White in Temple with incapacitating injuries. 

The crash is still under investigation.
