University of Mary Hardin-Baylor soccer player Travis Aday has been named the American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 1st.

Aday, a senior goalkeeper from Lawton, Oklahoma (MacArthur H.S.), helped the Cru open the 2018 season with a pair of wins over the weekend. He allowed one goal and made four saves in 192 minutes of action for the Cru. Aday allowed just one goal in UMHB’s double-overtime win over Puget Sound and made four saves in the Cru’s shutout victory over the University of Dallas. He was also instrumental in directing a defense that allowed just 10 shots over the two contests.

UT Dallas’s Jovi Munoz earned ASC Offensive Player of the Week. UMHB returns to action on Friday, September 7th in a 7 p.m. (ET) game at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. The Cru will play one more game in Atlanta on Saturday, September 8th before returning home to host East Texas Baptist University in the ASC opener on Thursday, September 13th at 7:30 p.m.
