The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team is still receiving votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Top 25 Poll. The Cru received votes totaling 21 points in the AVCA’s Preseason Poll. Calvin College moved up to first-place with 1,723 points and 50 first-place votes while Colorado College is second with 1,634 points and eight first-place votes. Wittenburg University rounds out the top three with 1,604 points and six first-place votes. American Southwest Conference opponents UT Tyler and UT Dallas are also represented in the poll. The Patriots are 27th in points with 184 while the Comets totaled 66.
The Cru volleyball team is currently 2-0 on the season. UMHB returns to action on Tuesday, September 4th in a 6 p.m. exhibition match against Hill College at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton. The Cru then travels to Thousand, Oaks, California for the Cal Lu Fornia Tournament September 7th – 8th.
