University returns experience, but won't make prediction

University returns experience, but won't make prediction

The University Trojans have lost more than 40 straight football games and head coach Rodney Smith knows that kind of losing takes time to turn around.

"You know I wish I was a fortune teller but our kids are working hard and we're going to compete."

That might not be the sentiment Trojan fans want to hear, but they'll be happy to know the Purple and White return a whole host of starters up front.

Their do-everything back Jeremiah Stroupe is also returning and taking a bigger leadership role on the team.

"It's nothing to play about you know. When you come out and play you have to fight and you have to win. We didn't come out to lose games we came out to win."

Games have been won on less than solid offensive lines and running the football, but to break the streak University will have to take down Waco week one.
