Connally started a bunch of sophomores last season, but now that youth is veteran experience.
Two players to watch are quarterback Gaylon Glynn and running back Jayveon Sunday.
Those two promise to give Connally more than enough offensive firepower to run away from teams.
Head Coach Shane Anderson knows his team is primed for a postseason jump and said last year's mark of 3-7 won't cut it this year.
"Not saying this group is going to play in a state championship but it's just one of those deals where you kind of sense it," Anderson said. "The kids have been playing together for a long time and they've been very successful in what they're doing."
"We got some talent and some speed at wide and you know what our backfield is looking like so we're going to be able to make plays across the field," Gaylon Glynn said.
The Cadets open the season at home against Palestine.
